Grow your own talent this year with career apprenticeships
Are you reviewing your future talent needs for the year ahead yet?
Has your business considered taking on an apprentice as you review your back-to-work hybrid models and start planning your staffing needs for 2022? You could save a lot of money on recruitment fees!
There are lots of ways you can take advantage of the FUNDING that comes with taking on an apprentice. And there is support available if you need help with apprentice recruitment. Register for information and updates here.
Apprenticeships remain a great way to recruit new staff, build fresh teams, and grow your own talent.
Did you know that an apprentice can be anywhere between 16 and 56 years and the level of qualifications they can do is up to degree level? You can even develop existing staff on an apprenticeship if they are moving to a new department or learning a new job role - eg shop floor to supply chain office!
There is government funding available to cover the full cost of training. But your company would have to pay an apprentice wage as they will be an employee from day one, and they will have to be released for training as per the requirements of the qualification being studied. That could be one day a week, one day a month or block release. A lot depends on the type of training programme, the provider and the level to be studied.

Many young people will be searching online this year for a local job with a career opportunity that doesn't involve going to university. Will you offer them a chance as an apprentice?
